Hi Ashton, tell us about you. Where are you from and what season of life are you in?
I am from Marietta, Georgia and am currently a junior at Auburn University majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing.
Outside of school, what activities do you enjoy?
My interests include cooking, health and fitness and dancing... I was a dancer for 13 years and even taught at Variations Dance Studio here in Auburn for a year.
13 years… so fitness seems to be an important element of your life. How has your outlook on fitness evolved over the past couple of years?
I have learned that what works for someone else may not work for me. I have to be true to myself and not compare myself to other people. You have to do what is right for you and your body. Everyone is made differently, and different types of exercise work for different types of people.
Listening to your body… a True40 mantra. We love it! What is something most people don’t know about you?
That I busted my head open twice. The second time it happened is when I ran into my younger sister.
So you are a survivor we see. And pretty tough. If you were on a deserted island, what would you bring?
A water bottle, a knife and some goldfish crackers.
Goldfish crackers are crucial. So when you travel for fun, what do you pack?
I typically bring my flat iron and hair dryer no matter where we are going. I also tend to bring all the jewelry I own which is never necessary.
Last quick thing, what are you usually doing at 7:00 in the morning?
You will most likely find me toasting an English muffin and making coffee. I never start my day without coffee!
