Spring Cleaning in Fall

When it comes to cleaning, we can clean the studio every day to make it spotless, but when it comes to our houses, it is so hard to find time and remember everything we need to clean! Everyone is familiar with “spring cleaning” but have you ever heard of “fall cleaning?” No? That’s because it’s not a thing. But we have decided to make it a thing! It is so nice to start a new school year or a new season with a clean house! Let’s be real… it’s really just because it’s easier to start with a clean house before you start decorating for the holidays too!

So we are here to help you add some checklists and give you some cleaning tips to help you make the most of your spring cleaning in fall!

Tip #1 - Start with a checklist. It always helps when you have a list of things you need to do, because it feels so good to cross things off the list! (we have some sample checklists on our Pinterest)

Tip #2 - Try to make it fun and get the whole family involved! Make different cleaning games for the kids (or for your husband) to make it a fun family event!

Tip #3 - Plan out a time each day (or a couple of days if you’re just doing one big deep clean) so you aren’t rushed!

So you’ve got your list and you’ve got everyone on board and now you’re headed to the store to get some cleaning supplies… Walking down that aisle can be one of the most intimidating and confusing things because it seems like there are a million different options! So to help you out, we’ve listed some of our favorite cleaning products below!

#1 - Windex for windows and glass - it doesn’t leave streaks and gives that shiny clean so you can see how good you look!

#2 - Meyer’s dish soap for handwashing dishes - it has so many scents and is all natural so it feels great on your hands!

#3 - Febreze for room freshener - whether you have pets or just messy kids, febreze is great to kill the odor in any room and on any furniture!

#4 - Meyer’s multi-surface everyday cleaner for everyday cleaning - whether it’s the kitchen counters, the coffee table, or just the dresser this everyday cleaner does the job. And it’s natural so it won’t hurt pets and doesn’t have harmful ingredients like some other products!

So if you can’t tell, we love the whole Meyer’s brand as well as anything all natural so it is safe for pets and kids! If you’re looking for a cheaper option, “Method” is a great brand as well! Please share your cleaning tips and hacks with us and ask us any questions you have!
