We are so glad she has joined our True40 Family! We honor her today and congratulate her on her 60th class to start of May! Way to go Kelsey!!

Meet Kelsey Kenaan

Being in medical school and studying all day, how do you wind down from a stressful day?

Usually going to a True40 class is my release of the day. I need that hour when I can shut down my brain and stop worry about studying or what exams are coming up. If I’m not at True40 I love watching one of my favorite shows on Netflix.

We are glad True40 classes help you to relax and clear your mind, but if you could go anywhere for a vacation, to really get some R&R, where would you go?

I have always wanted to go to Australia. It’s so beautiful, unique and has so much to offer. Definitely on my bucket list to go!

Tell us what you like most and least about your workout.

Most: I love single leg drops. They bring me back to my dancing days!

Least: Chair squats. They are the death of me, but I know they work so I try my hardest to work through the shakes!

We always say we are a family here at True40 and love creating community with our members. What does community mean to you?

Community is important to me especially since moving to Auburn because I need a home away from home since I’m so far from my family. The community of Auburn is such a neighboring and kind group of people that always seem to have new events that cater to different people and make sure that everyone feels welcome and at home.

What is your favorite holiday and where do you spend it?

Hmmm that’s a hard one. I would have to say Christmas. Christmas was a big deal when I was a kid and when my Grandmother was alive. She had 15 grandchildren and for each of us she had a specific wrapping paper so we knew what presents were ours. It was a bit hectic with all of us there, but everyone was always together for that one day and it became a family tradition that I will never forget.

Lastly, we want to know how do you stay true to you?

I try to always be myself and never to be something I’m not. Moving to Auburn has definitely changed my life drastically but I’m still a Michigander and nothing will ever change that!

Thanks Kelsey for being a part of our studio. We are so glad to see your smiling face each week. Continue the great work and dedication. Congratulations!
