Where are you from?
I am originally from Mobile, Alabama.
What brought your to Birmingham and what do you do here outside of True40?
I am a recent Auburn University graduate (War Eagle!). Outside of True40, I travel as a Leadership Consultant for my sorority, Chi Omega. I love to travel, cook, drink coffee, and spend time with friends and family.
What is some great advice you have gotten?
"You love as well as you are willing to be inconvenienced."
How do you love your body and stay true to you?
I love to stay active and eat clean about 85% of the time, which makes me feel energetic and healthy. On the other hand, in a world of comparison, wanting to work out and eat clean just to be “small” can be difficult. I keep my eyes on my true identity in Christ, making sure my working out and eating clean comes from a mindset of honoring my body and wanting to feel good. Keeping my motivation towards the One who created me and enjoying the things in life that He gave us to enjoy is how I honor my body and stay true to me!
Why is fitness important to you?
Fitness is my stress relief and happy place! It is a time and place where I can forget about the world around me and focus on positive changes within myself. It not only challenges me physically but mentally too!
Why would you tell someone to try True40?
True40 is more than a space for exercise. It is a community that strives to encourage each other to be a better version of yourself. True40 is a space for all ages and stages of life to encourage each other through positive changes being made in our bodies in every workout.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, you would bring...
Coffee, my twin sister Amy, and a good book to enjoy!
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I was a competitive diver for over 10 years.
